Spring and Summer 2019

Antipasti – Best choices of La Cucina!

Zuppa di Lattuga e Riso – Every Spring this pleasantly surprising soup becomes a new favorite. Five different types of bright green lettuces become the flavor in the tasty chicken stock. We give it some texture with creamy Arborio rice…it’s goooood!

Classic Wedding Soup – True Italian “Zuppa Maritata” is a wonderful combination of hearty flavors. Our own chicken stock holds tiny meatballs, buttery pieces of chicken, pastina and tortellini not to mention the great trinity of veggies to enhance the colorful bowl!

Tuscan Celery and Potato Soup – The fresh flavor of bright celery and the creaminess of locally grown potatoes make a simple soup a flavorful dish!

Garden Minestrone – All the goodness of a spring garden in a simmering pot of tastiness! No less than ten vegetables in combination to be both rich and light.

Chicken Pastina – A delicate soup which serves as the perfect start to an Italian feast. Flavorful homemade stock with the smallest bits of pastina—sometimes stars…sometimes orzo…sometimes both

Stracciatella – A light but very flavorful chicken stock with just a few goodies. The final touch is the airy egg beaten into the hot broth…yes, it will remind you of “little rags” floating in the bowl…tasty “rags

Ricotta Gnocchi – Our own homemade and handmade fluffy cylinders of flavor, not at all dense like traditional potato gnocchi. Our best classic red wine sauce just waits for a sprinkle of Parmesan and maybe some Calabrese hot pepper flakes!

Lobster Ravioli – sweet and tender chunks of lobster meat in a light and airy pasta pillow…creamy butter, cherry tomatoes and fresh chiffonade of basil…no further description needed!
